Perranporth Triathlon 2004, otherwise known as "The last time I thought I was going to die". The picture looks scary, the reality was even worse. Getting out of the water and seeing a group of your clubmates standing on the beach cheering because they'd quit the swim/had more sense was a sobering sight, especially when some of them are far better sea swimmers than you.
Nasty nasty day!! Funny to look back though. It'll never be forgotten.

Wow that is a crazy swim! I can't believe they held the race!! I would have loved it :P Looks cold, though!
Never ever gonna complain about rough water again! Way to go on completing it.
